CFGA TREE SEED WORKING GROUP

CFGA’s Tree Seed Working Group (TSWG) has been active since 1983.  Members are from Canada, United States, Europe and several other countries. The TSWG hosts workshops in conjunction with CFGA conferences and publishes news bulletins.

The TSWG will host a tree seed workshop on Monday July 10th. Details are being finalized. If you would like to provide a short presentation, please contact Dave Kolotelo or Melissa Spearing.

Objectives

The Tree Seed Working Group has four objectives on promoting tree seed science and technology through

• Seed research from bud initiation to seed use
• Identification of seed problems relating to tree improvement and forest management
• Exchange of information on seed related problems
• Advising on implementation practices
